UCAN Launches OSHA Construction Safety Training for the Community

UCAN Metro Denver is bringing OSHA construction safety training directly to the community through a new UCAN training program led by Berta Trujillo, UCAN's Vice President and Authorized Outreach OSHA Trainer, through the Environmental Innovation Academic Learning Lab at the National Western Center campus. Classes are starting at the end of the month going forward.

Why This Matters

The program is designed for the broader community and for anyone who wants a stronger foundation in construction safety. UCAN will offer two outreach courses:

• OSHA 10-hour Outreach Training for entry-level workers building a foundation in construction safety.
• OSHA 30-hour Outreach Training for supervisors, foremen, and workers with safety responsibilities who need a deeper level of safety training.

The course structure is built to help people understand real workplace safety needs, protect their teams, and build habits that reduce hazards and improve compliance. Participants who complete the training receive OSHA outreach training documentation recognized through the U.S. Department of Labor's OSHA training system.
